Easter Day 4 - Homeward Bound
I knew the TET from Halifax to Nottingham was mostly road. There's only a small section of trails in Derbyshire, but when you're riding a KTM 500 with almost 58HP, who cares! Its amazing fun on the road too!! I've had as much fun on this bike on the road as i have with any road bike.
I standby my previous statement that this is the most capable dual sport available today. The competition as i see it::
- The venerable, but aged DRZ thats not available in the UK and difficult to get parts for (I loved mine, though - bullet proof)
- The brand new Honda CRF450L that weighs 20KG more, only has 25BHP in the UK and costs £10K?
TET Trip Details from the GPS:
Total Distance: 737 KM (excludes some road sections at start and finish)
Total Time: 20:30hrs
Travel Time: 15:26hrs
Stopped: 5:04hrs
Average Speed: 48Km/h
I wont repeat my words on this section of TET, i covered it on the way up, but it's a wonderful way to travel between towns, avoid traffic and see rural England.
