Africa

Surrounded by our home comforts, cosseted in our westernerised world,  we rarely venture to places outside of our comfort zone.  Choosing instead to holiday in Europe or America and always be within arms reach of a beer, packet of crisps or a burger.  Don't get me wrong, i love Europe, Spain in particular, and was planning to do the TET there next month, but a recent conversation with Jason kept echoing around my mind.   

He'd suggested that he probably wouldn't partake in the Spanish trip as he'd been to there numerous times and it no longer held any fascination for him.  I had to agree, and after Slovenia, an unexpected gem in eastern europe, i too wanted more.   I'd already lined up shipping to Malaga, and that's just off the coast of Africa, which is definitely a place outside of my comfort zone, distinctly different to my home and full of the promise of distant adventures. 

In short, i'm going. 

ahem...having said all that, giving it a massive build up, i'm only going to Morocco so i can easily get back to Europe for a beer and a burger. 😄
