Bike pickup & Heading South

Arrived in Geneva at 15:00 and the weather was glorius.

Nice and efficient exit fron the airport, got to the hotel at about 15:30. its about 10mins away but on the french side of the border (€43! Taxi).

The nice chap in the hotel gave me the garage key to where our steeds were awaiting adventure....

I had three hours to kill until Jason arrived so I fuelled his bike and returned to do mine.  It was then realised the BikeShuttle had misplaced my bike key!  The guy in the hotel called them whilst I used my spare key (phew) to sort the bike.

Took a ride up the hills that surround Geneva airport. Notice the snow capped mountains in the distance? I guess we're going to be heading in that direction.

Jason arrived on schedule at 6:15 and we headed to Annecy, about hour south from Geneva in the last light of the day.

My key was/is still missing.

The police had closed one of the main roads and we ended up picking our way for 30 mins over minor roads as it got dark.

Annecy is pretty town, full of nice places to eat outside, and full of crumpet! I  Love crumpet, in fact it's one of fav french foods 🤭
